Welcome to:

The Winter Bunny Presents…

Welcome to a world of curious things, where the everyday meets the enchanted. Lamps, candles, furniture and decorative accessories for the home - all hand painted or made using sustainable materials wherever possible.

The collections are rooted in a love of storytelling, character and the transformative power of objects. Inspiration comes from many the many worlds of child and adulthood: iconography, churches and medieval religious paintings, Celtic mysticism, the faded grandeur of stately homes, the velvet darkness of old theatres, the colour and spectacle of Victorian fairgrounds and circuses, and the artistic freedom of Charleston and the Bloomsbury Set.

Every piece is created to bring a little wonder into everyday life. Something unusual to treasure, something that transforms a room or catches the eye and invites a second look.

About Bunny

Bunny Winter (AKA the Winter Bunny!) is a Dorset-based artisan with a lifelong passion for storytelling through design.

With a background in costume design and millinery for theatre and film, she has co-existed as a practitioner and as a university lecturer, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for costume, millinery and creative thinking with the next generation of designers.

As The Winter Bunny, her work continues to be rooted in the rich traditions of sustainability and creating heritage objects for the home. Combining traditional skills with historical research, a strong dose of curiosity, and a love of beautiful materials, she creates unique pieces that celebrate colour, and pattern.

Based in Dorset, Bunny works from her studio, drawing inspiration from the landscape around her and from the stories, histories and artistry that have shaped her creative journey.

Bunny is available as a decorative painter of furniture and homewares - please get in contact via the website form or Instagram (@thewinterbunnypresents) for more information. She can also be booked for workshops in decorative painting and lectures in film costume.
